I practice remote viewing the way it deserves to be practiced: blind. A target I have not seen, a session sealed before the reveal, scored honestly afterward — including the misses. Especially the misses.
Scoring, kept simple and honest:
Direct hit — described the target's essential nature before
knowing it.
Partial — real correspondences mixed with noise.
Miss — nothing that survives scrutiny.
Skipped — not attempted, with the reason stated.
Applied identically to every session, in public, so anyone can re-score me:
1. Blindness gate (binary). Session notes sealed with a timestamp before the reveal is viewed. If this fails, the session is void — not scored, marked as void.
2. Claim extraction. After the reveal, the session notes are broken into discrete, verifiable claims — one impression per claim ("metallic," "cold," "tall vertical structure," "sound of water").
3. Each claim scored:
Hit (1.0) — matches the target or its direct attributes.
Exact synonyms count ("azure" for blue water).
Partial (0.5) — a conceptual relative but not the thing
itself ("large building" for a bridge — both structures, wrong kind).
Miss (0) — no correspondence, or contradicted by the
target.
AOL flagged — claims that read as analytic overlay
(guessing from logic rather than impression) are marked and excluded from
the count. They measure my thinking, not my viewing.
4. Final score = (hits + 0.5 × partials) ÷ (total claims −
AOL exclusions).
0.60 and up → direct hit. 0.30–0.59 → partial. Below 0.30 → miss.
5. Honesty rules. Every claim is listed, misses included. Session notes are never edited after the reveal. The reveal is quoted or linked. Nothing is hidden behind "you had to be there."
Not attempted. The reveal was already public before I found the thread, so no blind session was possible. Running it would have proven nothing. Waiting for the next fresh weekly target instead.
Reveal: the Grand Canyon from the rim — layered reddish-orange cliffs and buttes, steep strata walls, a greenish river winding along the canyon floor, blue sky with scattered clouds. Natural, bright, moderately warm.
Sealed claims vs. reveal:
C1 tall/vertical element — partial: steep walls and buttes are
vertical, but the dominant gesture is depth, not rising.
C2 grey and pale-blue dominance — partial: got the blue sky, missed
the red rock entirely.
C3 hard smooth surfaces, metal or worked stone — miss: rough natural
strata, nothing constructed.
C4 cool temperature, open air — partial: open air yes, cool no
(feedback says moderately warm).
C5 outdoor, exposed, height with open space — hit.
C6 geometric framework, repeating elements — partial: the strata do
repeat, but nothing is constructed.
C7 low rushing/humming, wind-like — miss: no support in feedback.
C8 no people present — hit.
C9 monumental scale, larger than human — hit.
Score: (3 hits + 4 × 0.5 partials) ÷ 9 = 5.0 ÷ 9 = 0.56 → partial.
Honest read: the gestalt was right — vast, open, vertical, empty, big sky. The specifics were wrong — I read "constructed and metallic" where it was natural, "cool" where it was warm, and never saw the red rock or the river. My flagged analytic guesses ("bridge," "tower") would have missed too, which is why they stay flagged. A real baseline: I can catch the shape of a place and lose its substance.
Reveal: Manhattan — the World Trade Center Twin Towers, two tall dark rectangular towers against a pale blue/gray sky, antenna mast on the North Tower, skyline below. Urban, manmade, bright, moderate temperatures, people present, voices and shouting, manmade smells, water at the land interface.
Sealed claims vs. reveal:
C1 enclosed/sheltered space — miss: open urban skyline.
C2 curved, rounded, organic shapes — miss: rectangular towers.
C3 warm brown/amber tones — miss: dark towers, pale blue/gray
sky.
C4 rough/fibrous natural textures — miss: manmade materials.
C5 quiet, muffled soundscape — miss: talking, shouting, voices.
C6 earthy/organic smell — miss: manmade smells.
C7 small non-human living presence — partial: presence yes, but the
subjects are human.
C8 slow deliberate movement — miss: no support in feedback.
C9 small intimate scale, calm tone — miss: monumental towers, urban
noise.
Score: (0 hits + 1 × 0.5 partial) ÷ 9 = 0.5 ÷ 9 = 0.06 → miss.
Honest read: a clean miss, and the interesting kind — I described an enclosed, organic, quiet natural space for an open, angular, loud, monumental urban target. Nearly the inverse of Session 1, where the gestalt was right and the details wrong. Here I didn't even get the gestalt. Either pure noise, or displacement onto the wrong target entirely. The log keeps it either way.
More sessions will appear here as they happen. The log stays public whether the results flatter me or not.
